ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER

Dear Church Family,

 

As May Day approaches, let us take time to remember to encourage one another.  May Day is celebrated in many different cultures and has long been a tradition of showing one another appreciation.  “In America, the tradition has become to create May Baskets.  These are small baskets usually filled with flowers or treats and left at someone’s doorstep.  The giver rings the bell and runs away.” (Quoted from Wikipedia) 

The Bible tells us to “encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thess. 5:9-11) and that God has given us “eternal encouragement and good hope” (2 Thess. 2:16-17).  In Philemon 1:4-7, the Bible says, “I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints.  I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.  Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints.”

Do something to encourage someone this May Day.
