What is the purpose of an Elder at Sterry?
Elders have responsibility for the government of the church, and oversee the various ministries in the church.
​All Elders are members of Sterry.  Below you can see the various ministries Sterry has for Elders to serve.

What is the purpose of an Deacon at Sterry?
Deacon's show compassion, concern for the needs and serving others as set forth in scripture. There are several ministries they serve: Meal Ministry, Card Ministry (to the sick, bereaved and hospitalized), Visitation Ministry, Communion, Rose Ministry, Sanctuary Care, Resurrection Day Lilies & Memorial Ministry, College Care Box/Gifts & Graduation Gift Ministry. All Deacons are members of Sterry.

ELDERS 
Sterry Members who are currently holding an Elder position, there are 9 Elders that serve yearly, 3 in each class. Elders serve a 3 year term and volunteer based.
